At Harrison’s Fund, we’re lucky to have some incredible supporters—and few are as tuneful (or as long-standing!) as the wonderful Cobham Ladies Choir.
For years, this joyful and generous group has lent their voices to our Carols at St Andrew’s Church, bringing warmth, harmony, and festive cheer to our annual Christmas concert. And now, they’re back again—this time with a summer twist!
On Saturday 14 June 2025, the choir is hosting “Summer Notes”, a vibrant charity concert at St Paul’s Church in Addlestone, with all Fundraising going to support families living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy through Harrison’s Fund. From folk and jazz to soul and more, the evening promises an uplifting mix of feel-good favourites and an incredible Fundraiser.
Joining them on stage will be the fabulous Surrey Rainbow Choir, bringing their signature energy and inclusive spirit to help raise both awareness and funds for two important causes—LGBTQ+ community support and Duchenne families.
And it’s not just local performances that make this event special. “Summer Notes” follows Cobham Ladies Choir’s first solo international tour, where they performed in the stunning cities of Ghent and Bruges, and closed their trip with a moving performance at The Menin Gate in Ypres to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
In fact, the whole month is a celebration of community, remembrance, and music. The choir performed classic songs from the 1940s at Cobham Heritage Trust’s VE Day 80th Anniversary event on Monday 5 May—another heartfelt moment in what promises to be an unforgettable season.
Led by the brilliant Christine Parker, Cobham Ladies Choir is more than just a choir—they’re a community of women singing with purpose, passion, and heart. With over 70 members and a deep commitment to giving back, they’ve truly lived up to their title as “The Choir with a Heart.”
Alex Smith, CEO of Harrison’s Fund, who will be attending the concert, says:
“Cobham Ladies Choir have supported us for many years and truly are part of the Harrison’s Fund family. Their energy, passion and generosity are extraordinary—and we’re so grateful they’re helping us bring mental health support to more Duchenne families through their music.”
From everyone at Harrison’s Fund—thank you for the music, the memories, and the continued support. We can’t wait to see you shine again this summer.
