On June 14th, the soaring voices of the Cobham Ladies Choir, joined by the vibrant harmonies of the Surrey Rainbow Choir, filled a packed St Paul’s Church in Addlestone for an unforgettable evening of music and community.
With every note, every applause, and every generous donation, this special concert raised vital funds for our Chrysalis Grant Programme—supporting the mental health of children and families living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
The atmosphere in the church was electric: rows of supporters, families, and local residents gathered not only for the music, but for the message. And we were deeply honoured that our Chief Executive, Alex, was invited to speak before the interval—sharing the heart of our mission and how the Chrysalis programme is transforming lives.
“There was a moment during one of the final songs,” Alex shared, “when I looked around and saw so many people moved—not just by the music, but by the cause. That sense of unity and care was overwhelming. This is what Harrison’s Fund is all about.”
The generosity of everyone involved—choir members, organisers, audience, and volunteers—was incredible. Thanks to their passion and talent, the evening raised a significant amount to help us extend mental health support to more families facing the unique challenges of Duchenne.
To the Cobham Ladies Choir, the Surrey Rainbow Choir, and everyone who made this magical night possible: thank you. You are helping us turn compassion into action, and music into meaningful change.
